the main sources of marine salt supply In Iran:

  • Sirjan Lake
  • Qom lake
  • Urumieh Lake
  • Aran and Bidgol Lake in Markazi province
  • Maharlu Lake in Fars

the salts from these lakes are not edible, but therapeutic and sanitary treatments, such as pain relief, rejuvenate the cells of the body, especially the skin, and have a disinfectant effect. In the petrochemical industry and in the stages of the production of some intermediates of other industries, they are widely used. This has led to the harvesting of millions of tons of pure sea salt  and high quality from salt lakes throughout Iran every day.
